I'm a computer programmer by trade, and have hatched the Evansville CoderDojo chapter with the assistance of my long time friend, Brian Bates. I have accepted my personal challenge to help inspire and teach new generations about the joys of technology and more specifically computer programming.
After reading an inspiring article back in 2014 about the CoderDojo movement, I decided to jump in and start to champion and mentor my own Dojo here in Evansville, Indiana.
Meetings are announced on our Facebook page, but typically occur on the last Saturday of the month (barring holidays or other obstacles). The frequency of our meetings is once per month, but with an increase in interest, we'd like to see it happen a little more often than that.
I've got some great friends helping with the mentoring, and I think together we're going to make this movement something great for southern Indiana.
